Ritsu Doan got in the way and fired an overhit shot past goalkeeper Uğurcan in the penalty area. The ball hit Davinson Sanchez in front of the goal line and deflected into the net. UEFA recorded this goal as an own goal by Sanchez. Towards the end of the game, Frankfurt attacked from the left wing and Nathaniel Brown played the ball in front of the goal from the end line. Jonathan Burkardt's header hit Sanchez again and found the net. With this goal, the score became 4-1, while Sanchez was the one who caused the ball to go into the net for the second time in the unfortunate match.
