The star footballer had stated, ‘I will do everything to take Nigeria to the World Cup.’ Gabon's head coach Thierry Mouyuma was quick to respond to these remarks.
Mouyuma, recalling Osimhen's words, said, ‘I think Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already answered that question and demonstrated it by scoring four goals against Gambia.’
Recalling the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations final, Mouyuma said, ‘In the last Africa Cup of Nations, he said he would do everything to bring the cup to Nigeria, but unfortunately Ivory Coast won.’
Mouyuma concluded his comments about Osimhen by saying, ‘These are motivational phrases that everyone uses without conviction. It's just his opinion.’
